Even the beast 800 will break parts if pushed hard enough. Here is what one forum member has to say about that.

"Well here is my take on the whole debate thing as truthful as I can be about it...I bought a bomb 800 and where i ride is pretty tough,so I put on 29.5's snorkeled it out, now just put a HMF and a DOBECK. built me a 1 1/2 lift for it...well ive had it prolly 3-4 months and we ride a lot i got bout 500 miles on it.Things i have broke 1 front axle, due to me pushing my nephew's kodiak out of a nasty mudhole moved bout 10 ft i got down plus the weight of his still on the gas,POW, haha exploded axle. Now last week was riding in some water bout 3-4 ft deep came out up on the bank i like to keep it up on the rear wheels and just ride the wheelie out for a ways, well POW,SNAP,CRACKLE POP....TWISTED,yes twisted rear main driveshaft like a pretzel and of course it tossed it out of the rear end...i took it to a drive shaft shop had it fixed but was dissapointed in how thin wall the tubing they used in the driveshaft only .090 thick...i had a .250 put in haha any ways a while back i was gonna buy my wife a polaris 800 after i had this one for bout a month...due to i couldnt get my hands on a 2 up 800 or any 800 for that matter..i got the only one around here..plus i wanted to try out the polaris for myself...well i have a good freind with a new polaris 800 with 27 outlaws, lift and he babbys this thing big time unlike me...anyways we were out riding one night i seen him and said here take mine for a ride if ya want. he goes for a bit comes back and had a real weird look on his face..haha,,then he said well take mine the spt.800 for a spin, i did WOW I dont mean to be mean but after riding mine for a month and getting on that polaris i didnt go 50 ft and was totally turned off due to 1st the suspension is hard a rock and that thing would just sorta spin as opposed to my bomb that will sorta squat and launch, and that sound of the polaris....its like its turning 5000 rpm and your going no where .....thank god i rode that bike cuz that week i was gonna buy a new spt. 800 till i rode that one .Night and day difference period...but the polaris has waaaay better after market part support, easier to lift, easier to snorkle, and yea the bombs storage is just plain sukky I hate that bout my bomb, but until you ride both back to back hahaha you will never know how much difference there really is..needless to say i went ahead and bought her a 2 up bomb 400...Moral of my story is I ride the hell out of my bomb cut it no slack it gets a lotta throttle in a lotta water, and deep mudd, and gets turned sideways quite often on hardpack trails, haha and i have broken the 1 lf axle it didnt break at the wheel like most it broke rearend side and it exploded the outdrive!!!! the main rear drive shaft twisted like a pretzel people were in awe when they would look under it and see the twisted carnage..haha....other than that its been bullet proof , and i have rolled it once pretty hard on a side hill didnt bend a thing in my amazement,,,so all in all dirtwheels is clueless, cuz im no expert and it took me 50 ft. to say oh my god this thing aint even on the same planet as mine...talking bout the polaris to my bomb...which explains the weird look on my buddys face when he returned my bomb im sure..lol..."
Note: mwbmod74 has a very wild 800 and really pounds the mudholes. I guess if you want to play, you have to pay LOL
